Burger King to Sell Spam Burgers
There’s a new item on the menu at Burger King. Mini Spam sliders make their debut today. The canned precooked meat product is already available at the fast-food chain in Singapore, and in the U.S. State of Hawaii you can get Spam Platters. The processed lunchmeat is popular throughout Asia. Who knows why? Spam was first eaten during World War II when the U.S. military had it as a
standard ration, (in) part because it didn’t need refrigeration and the pork product in the vacuum sealed can was edible, sort of, for up to seven years. |
